9 lasagna noodles
Steps
Gather all the ingredients and preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until browned and crumbly for 8 to 10 minutes, drain the grease, then stir in the spaghetti sauce and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
In a large bowl, mix the cottage cheese, two cups of mozzarella, the eggs, half of the Parmesan, the dried parsley, salt, and pepper until well combined.
Spread three-quarters of a cup of sauce in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish, place three uncooked lasagna noodles on top, spread one and three-quarter cups of the cheese mixture over them, then add a quarter cup of sauce, and repeat the same layering once more.
Add the final three noodles, cover them with the remaining sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan, pour half a cup of water along the edges of the dish, and cover tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake the lasagna for 45 minutes, uncover it, bake for an additional 10 minutes, then let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
